We are currently preparing the fourth edition of the PRAKS workshop, which will take place in the summer of 2025.
We are currently looking for a theme for the fourth edition of the PRAKS workshop, through which we will create a work that serves the public or the community. If you have a suggestion or idea for the theme of the next edition, please feel free to contact us by phone or email. Thank you.

In architecture, practice, in the true sense of the word, is primarily work on projects from the comfort of the office. The PRAKS civic association focuses on the tangible aspect of architecture through student workshops. The goal is to familiarize participants with the practical side of architecture, deepen their relationship with it through active work on the realization of a project, and raise awareness about environmentally responsible design. The practical part of the workshops is complemented by thematic lectures.
We welcome imperfections with joy, as we learn from mistakes. We enjoy experimentation and emphasize its value. We primarily choose environmentally friendly materials, processes, and scales. We think in terms of minimizing new resources, reusing existing ones, and recycling what may seem unnecessary. For the projects we implement, we select various locations, where we intervene with sensitivity through new additions.
The civic association was founded as a result of the work of our professional trio (Matthias, Robert, Viktória) at universities, in research and scientific activities, in pedagogy, and in practice. As part of our work, we explore and work with traditional and local materials that have a low embodied carbon footprint. We have experience participating in various domestic and international competitions and workshops, both as participants and as instructors. From our observation and involvement in the university teaching process, we concluded that students are missing fieldwork, yet opportunities to improve practical skills are minimal. This is why we decided to regularly organize the PRAKS workshop.
We receive support from our closest ones and the company Tepore.
Thank you!
